In Loving Memory Of / Marcella / the beloved daughter of / James and Clara Simms / who died March 1st 1913, aged 11 years / also Pte. G H Simms / the beloved brother of the above / who was killed in action in France July 7th 1916, aged 26 years / The midnight stars shine on the graves, / their gentle smiles their loving faces / no one can fill their vacant places / Gone but not forgotten. 


He is also remembered on the memorial plaque at St Peter's Church on Doncaster Road, Barnsley.

George Henry Simms is
remembered on Thiepval Memorial, France and is commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.

Gilbert Harry Edwards is interred at Brie British Cemetery France and is remembered on the
Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.  

Gilbert Harry Edwards is also remembered on the war memorial of St.Mary's Church Barnsley

Y&L regt. / the beloved son of the above / who was killed in action in France / July 1st 1916, aged 29 years / Greater love that no man than this / also Elizabeth / widow of the above named / Israel Scargill / who died June 16th 1932 / aged 83 years.



Harry is also remembered on the Memorial Plaque at St George's Church Barnsley which has been demolished.

Harry Scargill is interred at Euston Road Cemetery Colin Camps and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
